Following 16 years with Sun Life Assurance Society, John set up Technical Connection with Tony Wickenden in 1988. Technical Connection are a leading supplier of technical tax advice in the financial services sector in the UK.
John retired from Technical Connection in 2021 and now provides consultancy services on tax issues within the financial services sector via Wooltech Ltd.
John is also a director of Trustee Support Services Ltd, which he runs with Nick Edwards. Trustee Support Services provide a facility for trustees to easily register their trust on HMRC’s Trust Registration Service, as well as providing other technical tax advice to trusts.
